This smoothie recipe has changed my life. I start each day with some variation of it. If you’re really active during the winter and looking for ways to feel healthy and grounded during this shivery times, you may enjoy this as well.
I received this recipe from my friend Margie who got it from a local naturopath, Julie McLean.
- 1/2 cup cilantro
- 1/4 cup parsley
- 1/2 cup frozen wild blueberries
- pinch of microgreens or any green sprouts
- 1 teaspoon spirulina powder (get “Pure Hawaiian Spirulina Pacifica” from local co-op)
- add water to make a drinkable consistency (i’m using 1/2 – 1 cup)
I also add turmeric, a half an apple and packet of coconut electrolyte powder (for the regular sauna/sweater among you).
