My buddy Nick launched a startup in NY recently called Plated (think Netflix for food). Nick and his business partner were featured on ABC’s Shark Tank program earlier this month and have been flying around the country ever since, locking down support and funding to take the company to the next level.
He was in town last week for a meeting and had an extra hour to kill before his return flight to The Big (Crazy) Apple. I offered to give him a lift to the airport— with one condition: 3 rounds at the 612 Sauna before boarding. Watching the layers of intensity (the stripes of the New York startup scene) melt away as the steam from the sauna rocks (aka. löyly) filled the hot room… well, it made the 15 months I spent building this thing worth it all over again!
