After reopening after an 18 month hiatus due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the board of directors of the 612 Sauna Society decided it was time to give back and support our community!
Here are some ways that we are giving back:
We believe sauna is accessible to everyone. If you cannot afford the session price or the price to become a member, you are welcome to volunteer as a host to earn sauna sessions and/or a membership in the cooperative.
50% of every Aufguss with Alex session is donated to help the Minnesota Trauma Recovery Institute, which provides mental health resources to families dealing with the criminal justice system.
Offering donation-based sauna sessions to help charities/groups in need.
Aid to Ukraine: free will donation-based sauna with all proceeds benefitting World Central Kitchen, which has been critical in feeding the Ukrainian people both in Ukraine and in neighboring countries.
Pandemic Heroes Program–we want to give back to those that helped us weather the last 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please nominate your favorite healthcare worker, food service worker, grocery store workers, teachers, essential employees, etc. that deserve some sauna love!
We will choose a person each week to win a free sauna session and will give them a bonus session to bring a friend! Winners will be selected each week through the end of May 2022 and given sauna passes to schedule at their convenience.
