Once upon a time…There was a tire-hauling trailer named bud. Bud was very old but very strong. He was also very lonely because nobody wanted to haul tires anymore…
One day Bud met a hairy man named John. John was hairy because he lived in the North, where it is very, very, cold. John wanted to be healthier and more connected, and he had an idea of how to do it!
John heard stories from the old ones about a magical place called the “sauna” where his ancestors would gather with family and friends after a long day…
John wanted to make his days not so long. So, he went to Finland to learn how. He found saunas everywhere. Each sauna was totally unique but they were always very warm, and… very small.
Luckily, John was very good at thinking small, and he really wanted to be warmer. SO, one day he said to Bud, “Hey Bud! How would you like to be a sauna instead of an junky, old trailer?”
Bud thought about it for a long while. He thought of all those warm people he would meet and all the interesting conversations he would hear. “Yes, I do believe I would like that very much!” he replied!
There was just one problem. John had no idea how to build a sauna. The only thing he was good at was jumping on trampolins!
John didn’t know where to start, so he went for a very long walk in the mountains. When he arrived at the tippy-top, the mountain spoke…
The mountains reminded John that his father had given him a magic tool belt when he was very young!
So John found the tool belt and got to work!
He worked.
… and work…
…and worked! But the sauna was still very cold and very empty.
So, he asked his magic tool belt what to do next.
And suddenly, friends started showing up to help…
Hi Glenn!
Hi Jim!
Hey Brother Ben!
Jacob, the wood stacking king of Michigan!
Stu “The Ripper” Ralston!
Jesse “You call that a floor, Pederson?!” Eustis!
Rachel, The Firey Queen of the North!
And of course, Joel “Where would I be without him” Giffin!
Next thing bud knew, he was a sauna—on wheels!
With a door!
And cedar benches!
Bud loved his new look, and his new smell: Mmmmm cedar and birch!
And of course the warmth of the real fire!
But John and Bud were still very lonely.
So, they drove to the city!
Where they met new friends who also needed a place to warm up!
… and hang out…
… and think.
Bud was so cozy that everyone started calling him “The Firehouse.”
And everyone lived happily ever after!
I would Like to join society. Thanks

Hey Gene. Welcome. Here’s the link to the Facebook group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/612saunasociety/
Well, I don’t actually know a lot about it, but it rellay reminds me of a tale my professor one time shared with us: apparently, this thirteenth century English alchemist tried (in vain) to make gold from lead. He examined those ingredients so deeply, he evolved into an expert on both, and became rich as an official guide to the queen. Data was hard to come by in those days, far apart from nowadays with computer availability, and committed drivers etc. back then, once you realised something good, you could keep on counseling for a lifetime. But I digress. What I’m saying is that every now and then you come upon riches by simply attempting (and staying devoted to) something else, and thats just what happened to me once I accidentally got here. I was actually on the search for some technological records about driver updates when I began scouring the web, and got carried away…. Keep up the excellent work, and thanks for the article.
You can also sign up for the newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox. Ps. I’ll be opening up another round of reservations at little box through the newsletter. So stay tuned for that. Hope to see ya on the bench!
Hi Bud,I work with Doug Curtis, who gave you an alphabiotic aenigmlnt last week. I’ve heard several amazing things about you from Pete and Lisa and currently your clients Melissa and Eric are here receiving a treatment by Doug. Thank you for sending them. After hearing so much about you I felt called to check out your website. I myself have been exploring and studying Ayurveda, holistic nutrition and teaching yoga for 7. Within the past 2 years I dove into aromatic botanical medicine and it’s relationship to Ayurveda and Chinese medicine. From that I started my own line of crystal infused essential oil blends. I feel inspired to commune and receive a treatment from a kindred spirit that speaks my language. I’ve actually never had a marma (specific) massage. I’ve done yoga nidra exploring my own marma points and never had someone work on mine. Is there a possibility we could see about working together in that way? Thank you so much for getting back in touch.NamasteTaylor
